Landon received his first bath today. He loves to be modest. He enjoyed it until the end when we had to wash his hair. He is going to be a water baby for sure. He takes after his mother.

Like Father, Like Son!
Today I was looking at my baby albums trying to find out how long I was when I was born, when I stumbled across some pictures that made me smile and laugh. I find it really funny how we look and act like our parents (even though when we are teenagers we say that we don't want to be like them).
This is me when I was a newborn.
And Landon as a new born. Who do you think he gets his looks from?
This picture is the one that made me smile the most. I think my mom is a spitting image of her mom.
My Gram and me!
Landon and Gram 2011
God has funny and great ways of expressing to us that the family members who are no longer with us are always part of our lives.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

What a Special Valentine's Day Gift
Well, we're officially home from the hospital and I am so happy to say that we are becoming such a neat little family. Phil and I have really been enjoying our time with Landon as we learn who he is and what he likes. His facial expressions, which are priceless, melt our hearts. His little whimpers and sighs also make us smile. He is such a content baby and easily soothed when he's upset. We are facing some of the struggles that most new parents face, such as lack of night time sleep, but getting an hour or two of sleep each night is worth it when we realize what a wonderful gift from God we have. Here are a few pictures we have captured since we have been home from the hospital.
This next picture is of Landon in a special outfit from Aunt Karen and Uncle John. It's adorable and he totally enjoyed wearing it.
Phil and I wanted to thank our family and friends who visited us in the hospital. It meant so much to us to have so much support and love during this amazing time in our lives. We are so thankful that Landon will have you in his life too.
Also, thank you to my brother Brian and sister-in-law Shanna who ordered dinner for us and had it waiting at our house on Monday when we returned from the hospital. It was so nice to be able to come home and relax with Landon and not have to worry about fixing dinner. Pizza Capri is always so yummy! Also, thank you for the delicious Edible Arrangements bouquet of fruit. It has made eating healthy, during a some-what stressful time, easy!
I also wanted to thank Landon's grandma Sue and Grandpa Mike for the beautiful bouquet of flowers that they brought me in the hospital. They are such a lovely reminder of how wonderful our families were during our stay in the hospital. Again, we are so thankful for each of you! We love you!

Baby Landon Makes 3
Phil and I are so happy to announce the birth of our son, Landon Michael Bertucci. Landon was born on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:05 PM. He weighed in at 8.7 pounds and is 21 inches long. I experienced a long and tiring labor and delivery that lasted over 50 hours, but after meeting our new little son and getting to hold him in our arms, we quickly forgot about all of the tiresome work and several sleepless nights.
Here are some of the pictures that Phil captured after Landon's birth.
Here are some of the pictures captured shortly after delivery. It was fun to watch Landon's grandparents meet him and cuddle up with him for the first time.
We will be posting more once we are home with Landon and we are all settled in. Thanks to all of the prayers and support that people sent our way during our time at the hospital. We appreciate it.

Still Waiting
Yeah we are still waiting. I slept like a baby on a chair/bed conversion. Leigh Anne on the other hand only slept for 20 min. I think she is really excited. We will keep everyone posted.

Waiting...
Leigh Anne and I are at the hospital waiting for our baby boy to join our family. We can't wait for him to get here. Mom and baby are doing well, even though Mom's blood pressure is slightly higher than normal. I promise it wasn't my fault. Just keep us in your prays and I will keep posting throughout our stay.

Snowy City Scoop--Blizzard 2011
Wow! We went to bed last night knowing that we'd be waking up to massive amounts of snow...and we were right! So far, Chicago has accumulated more than 20 inches of snow and it's still snowing. This blizzard is the 3rd largest in Chicago's history. Phil couldn't shovel out either of our cars, so he is home having an "adult snow day"!
We decided to take Lucy outside to enjoy the snow and trust me, she sure did. We thought we had lost her when she jumped in to a gigantic snow drift, but she found her way out.
Enjoy the pictures Phil took this morning along with the videos (sorry that they are sideways).

Preparing for Baby
Sorry it has taken me so long to update our blog. We promise to update more regularly, with pictures, as soon as Baby Bertucci arrives.
Phil and I have been working hard to prepare for his arrival. We have packed his diaper bag and our own hospital bag and have them waiting by the back door. We have also had a great time setting up all of our baby gadgets and finalizing his nursery. We're hoping to learn on Thursday when my doctor will induce me, which will hopefully be in about 2 weeks.
We are taking these last 2 weeks to enjoy our time together as husband and wife, as we know our lives are about to wonderfully change forever. We're ready to become parents and embark on this amazing adventure together!
