Easter Weekend

Sorry it's been so long since our last post. We've been busy!  Phil got transferred to a new store and has been working new, crazy hours. Unfortunately, Landon and I haven't seen him much so we were thrilled to have Saturday to spend with him. We got up early and went to the Lincoln Park Zoo. We think Landon had a great time!

As you can see, Landon was excited about his first trip to the zoo!

Me and my little man, posing for a picture outside of the zoo. The weather was beautiful!

Landon did open his eyes, for a quick second, while in the Lion House. Perhaps lions and tigers will be his favorite animals.
We saw these flamingos and thought of cousin Aiden!  We took this picture for you, buddy!
Daddy and baby bonding at the zoo!

On Sunday, we went to church as a family!  Landon looked dapper in his handsome little Easter outfit.
We met up with two very silly people at church...look at these faces! Silly Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Andy!
Landon and I also traveled out to spend Easter with Phil's family. Landon had a great time hanging out with Grandma Sue and meeting the Glaziers, Matthies, Horans, and Nemchers!

As you can see, we had a very enjoyable weekend. Landon was very tired by the end of it!
He slept like a baby! We hope you all had wonderful Easter weekends too!

Spring is Here!!

We are so looking forward to the warm weather. We had a bit of a tease last Sunday when the temperature reached 80 degrees. I'm not quite sure how Landon felt about the warm weather, as you can tell by the picture I captured while in the car.

As you can see, he looks a little miserable because of the heat!  Hopefully, this summer won't be as stifling as last summer. Check out some more picture of Landon that we took this week!

Landon and his daddy hanging out, which always makes me smile! I love my two men and the family we have become!

Landon has been smiling  and talking a lot more lately. I was so thrilled to capture this smile!  As you can see, his smile is big and happy!  It just melts my heart when he responds to my goofiness with a big grin. He's such a happy little boy!

Landon decided to take a little nap in our bed the other day! He was perfectly content.

I absolutely love my little peanut! I am so thankful that I am able to spend my days at home with him. He's getting so big! We're enjoying every minute of it!

2 Month Check-Up

Landon went to visit his pediatrician yesterday, for his 2 month check-up (yes, he is currently 7 weeks old--but we are very punctual people). Here are his most recent stats:

                   Weight: 10.6 pounds (25th percentile)
                    Length: 23 inches (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16 inches (75th percentile)

From these stats we have learned that he is growing accordingly and will be very smart as his head encompasses more brains than 75% of newborns his age :)

He also received 3 shots and an oral polio vaccination. I couldn't bare watch my little man get stuck in his legs three times, so I politely excused myself from the room and allowed Landon's daddy to comfort him.

According to Phil, he tried to take the first shot like a champion, but the pain was so unbearable...he lost it! I heard him crying all the way down the hallway. My poor baby! Here is a picture of him waiting for the nurse to return with his shots.

The shots made him extra sleepy, as you can tell.

He spent a good hour sleeping on my lap! We are so thankful that Landon is growing and thriving.
