We had such a wonderful Family Fun Day! We started by heading to a local nursery to purchase our seedlings that we were going to plant in our garden plot. We had a great time venturing through the green house with Landon and deciding which plants to purchase and grow.
We then headed to our garden and started planting! This year, we planted tomatoes, green, yellow, red, and banana peppers, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, beans, cauliflower, peas, sweet basil, lettuce (a variety of types), zucchini, beats, carrots, and eggplants. Our strawberry plants and raspberry bush from last year are looking good and blooming flowers already. We opted out of planting potatoes, onions, watermelon, and celery this year. We are hoping for a wonderful crop so that we may make homemade baby food for Landon!

A fellow gardener makes art pieces in the garden. This, we think, is a dinosaur! I love it!
Next we came home and planted our herbs on our back porch. We planted sweet basil, rosemary, German thyme, and chives. Yum!
Herbs that will be used throughout the summer in marinades, salads, and roasting recipes.
The flower pot we put together that is sitting on our table outside.
Finally, Phil and I made homemade pizza (crust and all) and Landon watched. It was a great way to end the day!
Pizza toppings!
Italian Phil--doing his thing!
Phil's pepperoni pizza--delicious!
My tomato basil pizza--yummy!

3 Months Old
I apologize for taking so long to write a post, we've been extremely busy lately! A lot has been going on in the Bertucci household. To start with, I had to undergo surgery two weeks ago...but worry not as I am healing wonderfully and am almost back to my old self. Also, Phil got transefered to a different store and has been working hard to provide for our little family. Unfortuntely, he no longer has a set schedule and is working many more hours each week. Landon and I cherish the time we get to spend with him when he is home. We are so thankful for his hard work and love when he's home to spend time with us!
Landon went to the doctor's yesterday. He was 13 weeks and 2 days old and weighed in at 13 pounds and 2 ounces. How crazy is that!! As you can see, he's getting so big. He's no longer my little peanut. He also currently has his first cold. He hasn't been sleeping well and is totally congested and miserable. Hopefully, his cold will pass and his happy self will return soon!
Here are a few pictures that Phil captured yesterday:
Landon and I at the doctors office, waiting to see Dr. Nzoma. Isn't he getting so big? I sometimes wonder where my little man has gone!
The family hanging out and getting ready for some tummy-time. As you can see, Landon isn't to excited about it! We refer to tummy-time as torture-time since he cries and just rolls over most of the time.
