My Grandparents are Married!

A few weekends ago, I was able to watch a very magical event. You see, my Gram and Pop tied the knot. They had been dating for many many years and decided to get hitched and throw a big party!

The ceremony was beautiful, even though I spent most of it crawling on the floor and making noise. I hope they didn't mind me "talking" through their ceremony. I am so thrilled that I was able to be there for their special moment...when they were announced husband and wife!

The reception was off the hook! I only hung around for an hour our so because it was way past my bedtime, but I heard from mommy, daddy, Aunt Rebecca, and Uncle Andy that the reception was AWESOME!

Here are some pictures from Gram and Pop's wedding.

Me, in my tuxedo, waiting for the fun to begin!

The ceremony. Gram's was beautiful and Pops was lookin' fly!

Gram and Pops shaking their tail-feathers, all night long!

Me, ready to head back to my hotel room for the night. It was past 9:00 p.m. and way past my bedtime.

The next morning, we all went out to breakfast. I got to spend some quality time with the newly married couple. My Gram and Pops are special to me. I think they waited 20+ years to get married so that I could be there!

Happy Halloween!

Happy belated Halloween!  This year, for Landon's first halloween, I thought he'd make a super cute jack-o-lantern. Phil thought his costume was rather girly, but I loved it. We traveled to Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Andy's house for dinner and hit up a few houses for some candy! Their neighborhood was decked out for the holiday, for sure. Landon had a great time!

Phil didn't like the hat to this costume as he thought Landon looked like a little girl. I loved it though!
Picture time with Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Andy!
Lookin' more like a little boy with his hood on! He held on to that Twix the entire night. I think he was proud of his very first candy bar (daddy enjoyed eating it later that night)!
Classic Halloween picture...with a giant pumpkin air thingy.
Playing with leaves in the spooky cemetery! Poor Ned is dead! And did you hear what happened to Annie?

Landon seemed intrigued with the skeleton who was in our picture.
Overall, an awesome first Halloween :)

We hope everyone else enjoyed their day too!

Happenings During October

Wow!  I cannot believe that it's almost November. This year has truly flown by! Phil and I have been enjoying Landon as he's continually learning new things and communicating more with us. We've had some beatiful days recently and have taken a few family walks through the neighborhood. We want to get in as many as we can before the snow comes into to town!

Landon love his Ergo!

Landon also loves his Lucy. She's such a good sport when Landon starts tugging on her ears and tackling her when she's laying down. We're lucky to have such a patient puppy!

Landon also likes helping me fold clothes....well, actually he loves moving the laundry basket around and playing with the clean clothes. I don't mind because it brings a big smile to his face!

Phil and Landon came to visit me at work and took me out to lunch!  It was such a great little getaway from my smelly 5th graders. We also took a walk around the neighborhood in which I teach. I hope they come back again next week because it was the highlight of my day!

This last picture is one of my all time favorites!  The smile on this little guy's face is the sweetest thing around town!

A Picture from a Few Weeks Ago

This is a picture I received while working one day....Landon and daddy shopping at Target. As you can see, Landon was trying on winter hats.

Who's That Turkey!?!

On Sunday, while visiting Phil's parents, we went to a local apple orchard to indulge in honey crisp apples, freshly made cinnamon sugar donuts, and some fun!  The weather was absolutely beautiful, we almost forgot it was fall...until we remembered it was October. Speaking of October, can you believe little Landon is 8 months old? Where has the time gone?  I know I ask that question all the time, but seriously, it feels as if it were only yesterday that Phil and I were anxiously wondering who the little guy inside me was and who he would turn out to be.

Who is he?  He's an amazing baby who constantly keeps Phil and myself smiling! We truly are blessed to call him our son. We are so happy that we get to watch him grow :)

We love our little turkey!

Look at those baby blue eyes!

Oops! It's been a while...

Wow!  It's been quite a while since our last post!  I apologize for not being more dilagent with my posts. I will try to do much better.

Landon sure is growing and getting so big! I cannot believe that he is 7.5 months old. Where has the time gone? It feels as if it were only a few months ago that I was in the hospital waiting to meet the little guy! Did we skip June, July, and August this year?  We must have.

Since my last post, Landon has learned to crawl! Although he's merely army crawling...he's still very mobile! He does not stay put in one place for very long at all. He's quite the adventure seeker. He's also the most determined baby I have ever met. If he sees a toy, that's clear across the living/dinning room, he sets his mind to it and crawls right on over until he gets that toy. He also doesn't seem to mind if he needs to crawl over and through other objects (i.e. the kitchen table) to get it. He simply is hilarious!

I know I'm a little biased, but isn't that smile the cutest ever? He's so proud of his crawling abilities, as are we!
He's also learned to hold his own bottle and kind of drink from a sippy cup. Again, I cannot believe how big he's getting.

Our little guy is now a mover! Are we ready?!? I think we are :)

Nothing Sweeter Than...

It's true, there is absolutely nothing sweeter than the sound of a laughing baby! We are so lucky that Landon is such a happy, silly child! He laughs at just about anything. And boy is his belly-laugh contagious!

Here is another video of him laughing. He finds it hilarious when Lucy catches a treat in her mouth then eats it.

Landon is such a blessing to us and we are so lucky he's ours!

Solid Food Fun!

Landon is a solid food lover! We started with rice cereal but then decided to introduce him to several fruits and vegetables that I have made into baby food and he loves them all!

He's currently eating:

Avocado
Applesauce
Banana
Sweet Potato
Oatmeal
Rice Cereal

I'm really enjoying making his baby food and watching him gobble it up! Next on his menu are carrots, peaches, green beans and prunes! I'll let you know how he does with those too!

Very first bight of something other than milk.

He wasn't too sure how to eat it, but stuck with it and learned quickly how to gobble it up.

A big spoonful for a big boy!

Solids are mess, but fun!

Happy 60th Birthday Mom!

Well, it's official...my mom is now 60 years old! It's true that we are as young as we feel, so my mom truly only turned 37 years old (you see, that's how old she acts). She is the most energetic and fun loving mom/grandma around! I mean, what other lady, who just turned 37, Indian leg wrestles and does somersaults and cartwheels still? Not many that I know! It was great getting to spend her birthday with her! We love you mom!

Mom and potluck at her surprise birthday party! She really was surprised!

Aiden was such a good helper.

Rebecca, the BEAUTIFUL Bride!

My baby sister, Rebecca, got married this past weekend! She is no longer a Bauman, but not a Paukert! Her wedding was absolutely beautiful, but now nearly as beautiful as she was! She glowed as she walked down the aisle and the love she has for Andy just radiated off of her! I am so very happy to welcome Andy into our family and so thrilled for Rebecca as she embarks on the most wonderful adventure of her life!

On Thursday was Rebecca's bachelorette party! Several of us had a wonderful time getting our nails done, socializing and celebrating Rebecca's last night as a single lady during dinner, and of course going out for a few drinks!!

On Friday, we headed out to the suburbs for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was fun to watch Aiden during the rehearsal, as he wasn't too sure about walking down the long aisle with Amelia, the flower girl! He did do a fantastic job on the wedding day!

Saturday was perfect! Rebecca was truly the most beautiful bride ever! She was simply stunning! Being part of her special day made me smile! She deserves nothing but the best and I am so very proud of her!

Check out a few of the pictures we captured from Rebecca's Wedding Weekend!
